Synopsis

Digital Multiliteracy in Indonesian Language Learning for Primary Education explores the transformative role of digital technology in reshaping language education at the elementary level. In an era where communication, information, and creativity are increasingly mediated by digital platforms, traditional literacy is no longer sufficient. Students must develop multiliteracy skills that integrate technical competence, critical thinking, and creative expression within digital environments. This book examines the theoretical foundations of digital multiliteracy and its relevance to Indonesian language learning in primary schools. It analyzes traditional teaching methods, identifies systemic and pedagogical challenges, and discusses the integration of digital tools such as digital storytelling, gamification, social media platforms, and virtual classrooms. Special attention is given to the Indonesian context, considering cultural diversity, regional disparities, teacher readiness, and educational policy support. Through research-based analysis and practical insights, this book offers strategic recommendations for educators, school leaders, and policymakers to implement digital multiliteracy effectively. By bridging traditional pedagogy and digital innovation, the book aims to foster student engagement, enhance language proficiency, and prepare young learners to thrive in the dynamic landscape of the digital age.
